The plan to adopt the Chromium open source project for Edge browser was announcedin December last year. This version of Edge will be based on the Chromium open source project.
The tech giant had released the first Dev and Canary channel builds of the next version of Microsoft Edge for Windows 10. Microsoft has announced that the next version of its Edge browser is coming to macOS, bringing the same new browsing experience that the company previewed last month on Windows.
